Description:
The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Up/Down in pink gold, reference 234.032, reflects the brand's design philosophy in its purest form, taking its name from the birth year of Saxon precision watchmaking founder Ferdinand A. Lange and drawing inspiration from his historic pocket watches. The 18k pink gold case houses a solid silver argenté dial, featuring a railway-track minute scale and printed black Arabic numerals, with symmetrically arranged sub-dials for small seconds at 4 o'clock and a power-reserve indicator at 8 o'clock, its blued-steel hand tracking between "AUF" (fully wound) and "AB" (fully unwound). Powered by the manually wound Manufacture Calibre L051.2, lavishly finished by hand with 245 parts, the movement features chamfered and polished edges, Glashütte ribbing on the three-quarter plate, and gold chatons, delivering a three-day power reserve at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The watch is fitted on a brown crocodile leather strap with a pink gold prong buckle.
