The A. Lange & Söhne Langematik Sax-o-Mat reference 301.027 was one of the earliest automatic references introduced following the brand's rebirth in 1994, produced between 1997 and 2004. The 36.8mm 18k white gold case features elegant thin lugs and a bold polished convex bezel, paired with a deep black dial that creates striking contrast, set with elongated baton indexes and luminous alpha hands. An oversized decentral seconds register sits at 6 o'clock. Turning the watch over reveals the sapphire exhibition case back, showcasing the automatic Calibre L921.2, notable for its solid gold, bi-directional winding "3/4 rotor" topped with a platinum rim for added mass, and its patented zero-reset function that allows the seconds hand to be reset to zero when the crown is pulled out, enabling precise time-setting. The watch is fitted on a black Lange alligator leather strap with a white gold pin buckle.
