Details & Specifications
Description:
The Rolex Explorer II reference 16570 with black dial is one of the most enduring and widely recognized modern Explorer II references, produced from 1989 through 2011. The 40mm Oystersteel case is fitted with a fixed 24-hour engraved bezel and features the model's signature orange 24-hour GMT hand, allowing the wearer to track a second time zone or distinguish day from night, a function originally designed for cave explorers working without natural light. The black dial is set with luminous white gold surrounded hour markers and a date window at 3 o'clock beneath a Cyclops lens. Powered by the automatic Calibre 3185, the watch delivers approximately 50 hours of power reserve. Water-resistant to 100m, the watch is fitted on the sturdy Oyster bracelet.
This example dates to 1989, presents in excellent condition, and is offered as a watch only.
