Details & Specifications
Description:
Commemorating the 70th anniversary of Charles A. Lindbergh's historic solo transatlantic crossing, the Longines Lindbergh Hour Angle Special Series reference L2.617.4 revives the navigational wristwatch designed by the aviator himself and patented in 1927. The blue dial features black Roman numerals, blue outer hour-angle numerals running to 180, an inner black seconds chapter to 60, and a further central red chapter to 15, all designed to allow pilots to calculate longitude on the wrist.
A bi-directional rotating bezel, numbered up to 15 and further subdivided into 15-30-45 segments, works in conjunction with the dial for hour-angle calculations, and a date window sits at 3 o'clock. The stainless steel case features a see-through case back revealing the automatic ETA Calibre 2892-A2, finished with a Longines rotor marked L2.619.2. Case diameter measures 38mm, and the watch is fitted with a stainless steel pin buckle.
