The Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph U0102337 is one of the most architecturally distinctive timepieces in modern Swiss watchmaking, paying direct homage to Nicolas Rieussec's revolutionary 1821 inking chronograph — the invention that gave the world its first true time-writing device. The 43 mm polished stainless-steel case houses a signature barleycorn guilloché dial with an off-centred hours and minutes display, and two horizontally arranged rotating discs at 4 and 8 o'clock that track elapsed seconds and 30-minute chronograph intervals — just as Rieussec's original rotating ink discs once did.

Powered by Montblanc's in-house automatic Calibre MB R200 — a monopusher chronograph with column wheel and vertical clutch — the watch also features a GMT second time zone, date, and day/night indicator, all visible through the three-dimensional layered dial. A single pusher at 8 o'clock controls all chronograph functions with a smooth, precise action. A sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the manufacture movement within. Completing the design is a brown leather strap with double-folding deployment clasp. Water-resistant to 30 metres, the U0102337 is a bold statement in horological artistry.
