Description:
This Rolex Submariner Date is a pre-ceramic example featuring a 40mm case crafted from 904L stainless steel, prized for its corrosion resistance and durability. The black dial is paired with a unidirectional 60-minute bezel with a black aluminum insert, a hallmark of the model before the introduction of the Cerachrom ceramic bezel. The watch is powered by the automatic Calibre 3135, a COSC-certified Superlative Chronometer movement with a 48-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 300 metres (1000 feet), and the dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens over the date. The watch is fitted to a stainless steel Oyster bracelet with a folding Fliplock safety clasp and diver's extension.
This example dates to 1997, presents in excellent vintage condition, and comes complete with a full set of box and papers.
