The Seiko Presage Classic Series HCC002 — named "Wakatake-iro" (若竹色), meaning the fresh, pale green of young bamboo — brings a quietly vibrant personality to the Tomioka Silk collection, translating one of the most evocative hues in traditional Japanese kimono dyeing into an exceptional dial. Like its siblings in the series, the dial features a delicate wavy concentric texture inspired by the graceful drape and fine weave of Tomioka silk from Gunma Prefecture, creating a surface that shifts and shimmers with movement, catching the light in an endlessly dynamic way.

The restrained yet distinctive green tone gives the HCC002 a character entirely its own — refined enough for formal occasions, yet distinctive enough to stand apart from a conventional white or silver dial. The 38mm stainless steel case with Seiko's super-hard Diashield coating strikes an ideal balance between dressy proportion and wrist presence, with polished case sides, brushed lug tops, and a fully polished stepped bezel lending the watch an elegant, architectural quality.

An alternating brushed-and-polished seven-row steel bracelet completes the look with similar attention to finish.
