The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time GMT HCB004J is cased in gold-tone stainless steel, measuring 40.5mm in diameter and 12.8mm in thickness, with a 47.5mm lug-to-lug span that sits neatly on most wrists. The warm case finish picks up ambient light and shifts between soft champagne and deeper gold as the wrist turns. Beneath a box-shaped Hardlex crystal, the light dial carries a fine sunray finish that brightens and fades with the angle of the light. Slim gold-tone indices and matching hands stand cleanly against the dial, and the raised crystal adds a gentle distortion at the edges that gives the dial a sense of depth.

The watch is powered by Seiko's calibre 4R34, an automatic movement with manual winding, 24 jewels and a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. In addition to the date, a dedicated 24-hour hand tracks a second time zone, and a stop-seconds function allows the time to be set precisely. The stainless steel bracelet is fitted with a deployment clasp with push-button release, which fastens securely and opens smoothly.
