Description:
Marking the 25th anniversary of the first nonstop circumnavigation of the globe by balloon, the Breitling Aerospace B70 Orbiter pays tribute to Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones's historic 1999 flight aboard the Breitling Orbiter 3. Housed in a lightweight yet durable 43mm titanium case with subtly sculpted sides, the vivid orange dial fades to black at the edges and features the mission logo alongside large Arabic numerals and dual LCD displays. A sapphire display back reveals an actual fragment of the original Orbiter 3 balloon. Powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Calibre B70, a thermo-compensated SuperQuartz movement ten times more accurate than standard quartz, the watch delivers a 1/100th of a second chronograph with split-time and flyback functions, a countdown timer, second time zone, two alarms, lap timer, and perpetual calendar.
This piece comes complete with the full box and papers and presents in excellent condition from 2021.
