Description:
Celebrating 50 years since the release of Steven Spielberg's cinematic milestone, the Seiko Prospex JAWS 50th Anniversary Limited Edition reference SRPL81K takes the form of Seiko's recognisable "King Turtle" cushion-shaped case, crafted from brushed and polished stainless steel with a crown positioned at 4 o'clock.
The bi-colour dial fades from silver to blue in an embossed, JAWS-themed texture, with LumiBrite-filled hour markers and hands, a red-tipped centre seconds hand, and the JAWS logo printed above the "Automatic" and "Diver's 200m" inscriptions at 6 o'clock. A blue inner flange displays the minute track, while a day-date window at 3 o'clock is magnified by a double Cyclops lens.
The unidirectional rotating bezel features a scratch-resistant ceramic insert with a lumed pearl, and the case back is engraved with the film's fishing boat Orca and the shark's dorsal fin breaking the water's surface, alongside "JAWS 50th / LIMITED EDITION" and an individual serial number. Powered by the automatic Calibre 4R36, with hand-winding capability and hacking seconds, the movement delivers a 41-hour power reserve. Rated to 200m of professional dive water resistance, the watch is fitted on a dark blue silicone strap with a single stainless steel keeper and oversized steel pin buckle, limited to 5,000 individually numbered pieces and presented in a special collector's box featuring artwork from the film.
