Details & Specifications
Description:
Celebrating Seiko's 145th anniversary, the Prospex Speedtimer reference HBJ005 draws on the design of the original 1969 Speedtimer, finished in a striking "Edo Purple" dial, a traditional Japanese colour reflecting the aesthetic sensibilities of Edo-period Tokyo. The sunray purple dial is paired with three black tri-compax chronograph sub-dials and 12 spots of LumiBrite for legibility in darker conditions, with a date window positioned between the 4 and 5 o'clock markers.
The 41.4mm stainless steel case is finished with a bi-colour black and purple aluminium tachymeter bezel, inspired by iconic Speedtimer models from the 1960s and 1970s, and protected by a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Powered by the solar-charging Calibre V192, the movement offers approximately six months of operating power when fully charged, 1/5-second chronograph precision, a power reserve indicator, and an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. Limited to 8,000 pieces worldwide, the watch is fitted on a stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp and push-button release.
