The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille Duoface reference 270.1.54 is the yellow gold iteration of one of the most ingenious dual-time complications in the Reverso collection. Introduced in the 1990s, the Duoface takes the Reverso's defining characteristic — its reversible case — and transforms it into a genuinely functional tool: two independent time zones, each displayed on its own dedicated dial, accessible by flipping the inner case within its five-body 18ct yellow gold frame.

The front dial presents a classic silver guilloché finish with black painted Arabic numerals and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. Reversing the case reveals a second silver guilloché dial with an off-centre time ring, luminous Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, and a 24-hour subdial at 6 o'clock — with apertures indicating day or night for the second time zone. A push-button on the case band advances the hours on the reverse dial independently. Power comes from the manually-wound Calibre 854, a form movement engineered expressly for the rectangular Reverso case, with 21 jewels and approximately 40 hours of power reserve.
