Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph "Safari" (2015)

Description:

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph "Safari", reference 26470ST.OO.A801CR.01, is cased in 42mm stainless steel with black ceramic chronograph pushers. Brushed and polished surfaces alternate across the case, and the eight hexagonal bolts on the bezel catch the light as small, bright points against the satin finish. The ivory dial carries the Méga Tapisserie pattern, a raised waffle texture that shifts between cream and soft shadow as the angle of light changes. Brown sub-dials and a dark brown tachymeter ring add contrast, and the brown Arabic numerals and Royal Oak hands are filled with luminescent material for low-light legibility. A sapphire crystal covers the dial. The case is substantial, with a pronounced presence on the wrist, and the crown guards add depth to its profile at the side.

The watch is powered by AP calibre 3126/3840, a self-winding chronograph movement with a date display and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The chronograph is operated by two round pushers beside a screw-down crown, which also sets the time and date. Through the sapphire exhibition case back, the movement is visible with its bevelled bridges and finely finished surfaces. The brown alligator leather strap is fitted with a stainless steel pin buckle and sits well with the sand-coloured dial. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
