Description:
Part of the third series of limited-edition watches celebrating Seiko's 145th anniversary, the Seiko 5 Sports SKX reference HDB003 centres on "Edo purple," a colour reflecting traditions passed on from ancient Edo to modern-day Tokyo.
Based on the brand's iconic SKX007, this 42.5mm stainless steel case retains everything that has made the 5 Sports series popular: a crown positioned at 4 o'clock, a unidirectional rotating bezel with a black Hardlex insert and 60-minute scale, and a dependable 100m water resistance. The deep, sunray-brushed purple dial is set with sharp, vertically-striated LumiBrite-coated indexes and hands, gold-coloured accents on the Seiko 5 Sports logo, and a day/date display at 3 o'clock.
Powered by the automatic Calibre 4R36 with manual winding capability and hacking seconds, the movement offers approximately 41 hours of power reserve and 24 jewels. Limited to 9,999 pieces worldwide, the watch is fitted on a three-link stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp, secure lock, and push-button release, and features a see-through screw case back marked "LIMITED EDITION."
