Description

The Omega Speedmaster Moonphase Co-Axial Master Chronometer ref. 304.33.44.52.01.001 takes the most storied chronograph in watchmaking history — the watch worn on the wrist of every astronaut on all six lunar landings — and elevates it with one of the most technically sophisticated moonphase displays in modern horology. At 6 o'clock sits an accurate moonphase indication featuring a metallic crystal disc microstructured to obtain a photo-realistic, high-resolution image of the moon — an entirely different proposition from the decorative painted moonphase discs found in most complications at any price point.

The 44.25mm stainless steel case is complemented by a black ceramic bezel ring with Liquidmetal™ tachymeter scale, framing a black sun-brushed dial with rhodium-plated indices in the iconic tri-compax layout that remains as purposeful and legible as any chronograph dial ever designed.

Powering the watch is the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9904 — METAS-certified, resistant to magnetic fields exceeding 15,000 gauss, featuring a silicon balance-spring and two barrels mounted in series for a class-leading 60-hour power reserve. Functions include hours, minutes, chronograph seconds, small seconds, 12-hour and 60-minute recorders, date, and moonphase — a remarkably complete set of complications for a watch that wears as athletically as it does elegantly.
