Description:

The Omega Speedmaster Quartz LCD (calibre 1620) is a fascinating relic of Omega's electronic age, released in 1977 at the height of the quartz revolution. Crafted from gold-plated stainless steel, its brushed cushion-shaped case with lyre lugs offers a bold, distinctive wrist presence unlike any mechanical Speedmaster. The dial features a digital LCD display showing time to the hundredth of a second, date, and day-of-week indication via Mo-Su markers, and is powered by the pioneering calibre 1620 quartz movement, in-house developed by Omega and SSIH, offering an impressive accuracy of just 5 seconds per month alongside full chronograph functionality.

With its four functional pushers labelled Date/Sec/Chrono 3X/Set, Start/Stop, Split/Light, Select and Lap/Reset, this LCD Speedmaster bridges Omega's Moonwatch heritage with genuine 1970s digital innovation—only produced for around 18 months, making surviving examples increasingly scarce. Paired with an integrated gold-plated bracelet, this watch remains a distinctive conversation piece—equally at home as a collector's curiosity or a bold daily wear.

This piece presents in excellent vintage condition.
