Introduced at Baselworld 2013, the Omega Speedmaster Professional "Tintin" reference 311.30.42.30.01.004 is a cult classic variation on the legendary Moonwatch, inspired by the so-called "Racing Dial" as found on the Speedmaster Mark II and various Speedmaster Professionals.

 According to Omega, the striking red and white checkered minute track is an homage to the rocket featured on the Belgian magazine Tintin's cover of "Explorers on the Moon," giving the watch its collector nickname. The 42mm stainless steel case retains the essential Speedmaster Professional formula: a black dial with white baton hour markers, three chronograph sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and a black tachymeter bezel, all under a Hesalite crystal. The watch is powered by the manually wound Omega Calibre 1861, offering approximately 48 hours of power reserve, and is fitted to a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp. Discontinued after just a year or two of production, the Tintin has become a highly sought-after reference among Speedmaster collectors.
