Description
The TAG Heuer Monaco 50th Anniversary Limited Edition (2019) celebrates half a century of one of the most iconic square-cased chronographs in watchmaking history. Limited to 169 pieces, the watch pays tribute to the original 1969 Monaco with its bold 39 mm square stainless steel case and distinctive cobalt blue sunburst dial, complemented by contrasting silver subdials. The dial features the classic chronograph layout with a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock and running seconds at 3 o’clock, along with a date window at 6 o’clock. Bold white markers and luminous hands ensure excellent legibility, while the red accents on the chronograph seconds hand and subdial hands provide a sporty contrast.
Inside, it is powered by the Calibre 11 automatic chronograph movement, a modern interpretation of the original movement that features a micro-rotor on the left side, offering a 40-hour power reserve and reliable chronograph functionality. The watch is completed with a perforated black leather strap with blue stitching, echoing the racing heritage that made the Monaco famous. This limited edition perfectly balances vintage homage and contemporary performance, making it a highly desirable collector’s piece.
This piece presents in like new condition with full box and papers, circa 2019
