Description
An enduring icon of motorsport and watchmaking history, the TAG Heuer Monaco CW2113 Steve McQueen is one of the most recognizable chronographs ever produced. Originally launched in 1969 by TAG Heuer, the Monaco made history as one of the world’s first automatic chronographs and became legendary for its bold square waterproof case — something virtually unheard of at the time.
The Monaco achieved cult status after being worn by Steve McQueen in the 1971 racing film Le Mans. McQueen personally chose the Monaco to reflect the professional racing style of the era, pairing it with his Gulf Racing suit and cementing the watch as a symbol of classic motorsport culture. Decades later, the Monaco remains deeply connected to endurance racing, Formula 1 heritage, and vintage automotive design.
The CW2113 captures that original spirit beautifully, featuring the signature blue dial, red chronograph accents, and left-hand crown configuration inspired by the early Monaco models. Its distinctive square stainless steel case gives it unmistakable wrist presence, while the automatic chronograph movement delivers reliable everyday performance.
This piece has been fully serviced in 2025 and presents as watch only.
