The Tudor Ranger ref. 79950-0008 is a purposeful, no-nonsense field watch that draws its spirit from one of Tudor's most storied chapters — the 1952 British North Greenland Expedition, during which Tudor Oyster Prince watches were worn and tested under some of the planet's most unforgiving conditions. This particular variant, introduced at Dubai Watch Week 2025, brings a warm and distinctive character to the Ranger line through its matte "Dune White" dial — an evocative, sandy off-white tone inspired by the vast desert landscapes of the Dakar Rally, one of Tudor's long-standing sporting partnerships. The dial retains the Ranger's signature architecture: bold Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock, applied baton markers, luminous arrow-shaped hour hand, baton minute hand, and a red-tipped seconds hand — all rendered in complementary tones against the warm dune-coloured surface. The domed sapphire crystal adds depth and a classic vintage quality to the presentation.

The entirely satin-brushed 39mm stainless steel case is slim at just 12mm, wearing elegantly for its diameter. Inside beats Tudor's in-house Calibre MT5402, COSC-certified for chronometric precision, equipped with a silicon hairspring for excellent magnetic resistance and a generous 70-hour power reserve. The watch is presented on a fully brushed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Tudor's T-fit rapid adjustment folding clasp. With 100 metres of water resistance and a screw-down crown bearing the Tudor rose, the Ranger 79950-0008 is an understated yet deeply characterful daily companion — one of the most appealing Ranger references to date.
