Rolex Datejust 36 36mm (1976) – Oystersteel & Yellow Gold
Description
The Rolex Datejust 36 from the 1976 represents the model that established the date-display wristwatch category. This vintage example combines a 36mm case in Oystersteel and yellow gold with a champagne dial and fluted bezel—a combination that has remained popular for over five decades.
The watch is powered by Calibre 1575, a perpetual mechanical movement with 48-hour power reserve, centre hour, minute and seconds hands, and instantaneous date function with stop-seconds for precise time setting. The case features an acrylic crystal and water resistance to 100 metres. The Jubilee-style bracelet in steel and gold closes with an Oyster folding clasp.
This example presents in excellent vintage condition and includes watch and box. The champagne dial with applied indexes shows the patina and character expected from a well-preserved 1970s Datejust.
This piece is in excellent vintage, original box (circa 1976)
